Recently, National Intellectual Property Administration announced the decision of the 22nd China Patent Award. CASCO's "Method and Device for Shunting Route Control by Combining STP and CTC" (Invention Patent No.: ZL201611050309.7) won China Patent Award, which is the 4th time for CASCO to get this award in recent years.

The China Patent Award, jointly reviewed by National Intellectual Property Administration and the World Intellectual Property Organization, is the only national level governmental award in China that specifically rewards authorized technology inventions. It is also the highest award for patents in China with wide international influence.

Among over 800 outstanding patents awarded nationwide, 26 patents in the rail transportation industry became finalists, among which CASCO was the only one winner in the field of train control signaling. This invention involves a method and device for shunting route control combining STP and CTC, which, compared with existing technology, can reduce the labor intensity of train staffs, improve the efficiency of shunting operation, and implement security control of shunting routes using devices to fundamentally avoid the occurrence of the mis-run of shunting routes.
