Recently, CASCO won the bidding of signaling system project of Shenzhen Metro Line 6 Branch and Phase II, and Taizhou Commuter Rail Line S1 Phase I in succession. As of June 30, CASCO has won the bids of 7 urban rail lines in 2021, accounting for 64% of the total of signaling system biddings in the first half of the year, ranking first in the industry with an absolute advantage. At the same time, with the winning of Taizhou S1 project, CASCO CBTC signaling system has covered one more city, reaching 28 cities in China. And the total number of CBTC lines has reached 85, with a market share constantly ranking first in the industry.
Shenzhen Metro Line 6 Branch and Phase II is a GoA4 fully automatic operation line, of which the branch Phase I is 6.13 km long with 4 stations, starting from Guangming Station of Line 6 in Guangming District, passing through Xinming Hospital Station, Sun Yat-sen University Station, Science City East Station and ending at the border of Shenzhen and Dongguan; Phase II starts from the existing Cuihu Station and ends at Guangming Town Station, with a total line length of 4.9 km and 3 stations.
CASCO will not only equip Line 6 Branch and Phase II with state-of-the-art fully automatic operation signaling system, but also manage as the coordinator for the coherency of the project.
After the Line 6 Branch is completed and put into full operation, it will help relieve the traffic pressure in the northern part of Shenzhen, comprehensively promote the development of Phoenix New Town and Guangming Town area, as well as enhance the radiation of Huangjiang area and University Town along the line, which is of great significance in supporting the formation of the hub of Guangming Town and the construction of the integration of Shenzhen and Dongguan.
Taizhou Commuter Rail Line S1 Phase I starts from Taizhou Central Station and ends at Chengnan Station. The main line is 52.396km long, with 15 stations and a maximum speed of 160km/h. As the first urban rail transit line in Taizhou, the S1 line will lead Taizhou to achieve the leap from "Road Era" to "Rail Era" and serve as the city's main axis line, becoming an important passenger corridor running through north and south of the city.
In the Line S1 project, CASCO will provide fully self-developed CBTC signaling system, which can closely fit the line's fast, high-density, public transportation-oriented passenger demand, and significantly relieve the north-south traffic pressure.
After Line S1 is put into full operation, it will strengthen the connection between urban area and peripheral areas, promoting the integration and development of the "Half-hour" economic circle in Taizhou. CASCO will also seize Line S1 as an opportunity to aim at the new direction of the development of rail transit industry and constantly facilitate the creation of a multi-level urban rail transit network to provide an efficient and convenient travel experience for the public.
The winning of the above two new lines added an extraordinary achievement to the successful ending of first half of 2021 for CASCO and injected sufficient strength and confidence to the fight in the second half. In the future, CASCO will keep deepening technical innovation and practices to contribute to a wonderful start of rail transit construction in the the 14th Five-Year Plan.
