In December 2021, the "transportation dispatching management system" made by CASCO for Zhejiang Jinwen Railway Development Co. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jinwen Company") was put into trial running, which equipped the dispatching command center of Jinwen Company with an up-to-date, intelligent and advanced "digital brain".
The dispatching command center of Jinwen Company assumes the heavy responsibility of dispatching and commanding the transportation of three important freight railways in Zhejiang Province, i.e. Jinwen cargo line, Jinhua-Taizhou Railway and Yueqing Bay Railway. Jinwen cargo line, between Jinhua City and Wenzhou City, goes through the mountainous areas of Southwest Zhejiang, which starts from the Dongxiao Station of Shanghai-Kunshan Railway and ends at Wenzhou Station, with 24 stations and a total length of 251km; Jinhua-Taizhou Railway starts from Yongkangnan Station in the west and ends at Taizhouxi Station in the east, whose branch lines connect to the Toumen Port Station, with 19 stations and a total length of 226.12km; Yueqing Bay Railway starts from Yueqing Bay Port Area in the east, passes by Yongjia and Lucheng in the west, ends at Waiyang, and connects to Jinwen cargo line, with 8 stations and a total length of 76.71km.
The aforesaid three routes assume the task to ensure the transportation of various cargos along them, and undertake the cargo flow transported by Shanghai Railway Administration, whose transportation scheduling management mode highly resembles that of national railway with many individual characteristics.
Dispatching Command Center of Jinwin Company
Based on the features of the dispatching command center of Jinwen Company, CASCO has developed such subsystems as locomotive dispatching, cargo dispatching, schedule dispatching, daily shift planning platform, dispatching order and statistical report similar to those of national railway business, and also designed a unified planning platform for each dispatching jobs to share information. By such means, CASCO enabled each dispatching subsystem to be used based on flexible combination according to the changes of Jinwen Company's business volume and job settings & adjustments.
So far, the cargo dispatching system put into operation has integrated the information involving train operation, existing train confirmation, freight, container, etc., which enabled the personnel in charge of cargo dispatching to master the real-time dynamics of cargo transportation and organization sites at each station along the routes in their dispatching halls, thereby reducing the workload of manual verification. The locomotive dispatching system solved such problems related to the management of operation and organization as locomotive turnover chart, dynamic locomotive management and locomotive track information through automatic data collection, which put an end to the years of manual-drawing operation method for locomotive dispatching. The statistical report system broke the barriers between former statistical systems, and realized the one-click generation and export of relevant business reports.
After the commissioned transportation dispatching management system was officially put into operation, the train operation under the control of Jinwen Company will be more efficient and reliable with the technical support of the "digital brain", which can realize data exchange and information sharing among various jobs and systems, and enhance the intelligent operation in the dispatching command center.
