On May 11, 2021, the 5th Silk Road International Exposition and the Investment and Trade Forum for Cooperation between East and West China (hereinafter referred to as "Silk Road Expo"), themed "Interconnection, Contribution and Shared Benefits", was held in Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center. CASCO was invited to present its Fully Automatic Operation System 2.0 for Smart Metro at the Xixian New Area booth.

Located in Hall 4 (Shaanxi Pavilion) of the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center, the Xixian New Area exhibition area, centering on the theme of "Innovation and Development - Industrial Development - Integration of Two Chains", showcased the cutting-edge tech products from key enterprises in the New Area, covering six pillar industries including headquarters economy, advanced manufacturing, and scientific and technological research and development. CASCO booth, at the center of the Xixian New Area exhibition area, highlighted the Fully Automatic Operation System and attracted government leaders, industry professionals, and mainstream media to view and experience the fun of hands-on operation of the train. This automatic operation system will be implemented in Xi'an Metro Line 16, making it the first GoA4 metro line in Northwest China.

During the exhibition, Wang Shouwen, member of the Leading Party Members' Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce as well as Alternate Representative for International Trade Negotiations, Wei Jianfeng, Vice Governor of Shaanxi Province, Li Mingyuan, Deputy Secretary of Xi'an Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, Yue Huafeng, Chairman of Xi'an Municipal Committee of the CPPCC and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Xixian New Area, Kang Jun, member of the Standing Committee of Xi'an Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Xixian New Area, Chen Hui, member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Xixian New Area, along with other leaders, visited CASCO's exhibition stands, where they listened to the report on the company's development profile and introduction of the Fully Automatic Operation System 2.0 and experienced in person the latest high-tech achievements in urban rail transit development.

While speaking highly of CASCO's innovative achievements, the leaders also expressed their new understanding and expectations for the role CASCO plays in the construction of Xi'an Metro Line 16, and expected CASCO to build it into a demonstration project of most advanced fully automatic operation line in China, to provide passengers with safer, more efficient, more convenient and more comfortable travel experiences; CASCO was encouraged to make further efforts, increase investment in R&D and achieve more breakthroughs in scientific and technological innovation.

Xi'an Metro Line 16, located on the new north-south axis of Greater Xi'an, is the first metro line built independently by Xixian New Area and the first GoA4 fully automatic operation line in Northwest China, which plays an important role in serving the 2023 AFC Asian Cup. As the signaling system supplier of the project, CASCO will not only undertake the consistent coordination of the entire project but also provide whole-process consulting services. Relying on our established project experience and implementation capabilities, CASCO is committed to building Metro Line 16 into a benchmark project for the most advanced fully automatic operation line in China.

The Silk Road Expo is the only high-level, open international exposition named after the Silk Road in China. By taking this opportunity, CASCO will further promote the cooperation with the Greater Xi'an, increase its R&D investment, and, based on the "Belt and Road Initiative", drive the exploration of intelligent urban rail construction in the northwest region.
