Recently, CASCO has officially signed the telecommunication and signaling system integration contract for Dubai Metro Blue Line Project, marking its first breakthrough in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market. CASCO will supply integrated products and services including telecommunication system, signaling system, integrated supervision system, maintenance management system (MMS), and virtualized cloud platform. This milestone not only underscores Chinese enterprises’ competitiveness in the global high-end rail transit market but also injects new momentum into the intelligent development of urban rail transit worldwide.
As a core project in Dubai’s 2040 Urban Master Plan, the Blue Line is 30 kilometers with 12 stations, with an investment of over USD 5.6 billion. It will connect Dubai International Airport with nine major functional zones, directly serving over a million residents. This fully automatic driverless line with the highest grade of automation (GoA4) will seamlessly integrate with existing Red and Green Lines, forming a citywide rail network and enhancing Dubai’s commuting efficiency and smart urban development significantly.
Since launching global bidding in 2024, the Blue Line Project attracted top-tier international firms. After rigorous evaluation, the MAPA-LIMAK-CRRC Hong Kong Consortium successfully secured the project. Relying on its strong technical strength and rich project experience, CASCO won the subcontract of telecommunication and signaling system integration, fully validating its core strength in the rail transit signaling sector.
With decades of expertise in rail transit control systems, CASCO has consistently driven innovation through the development of independent products such as fully automatic driverless technology, TRANAVI Qiji TACS (Train-to-Train Communication), and Xi Digital Rail Transit solution, advancing industry technological upgrades. Today, CASCO’s CBTC operational mileage has exceeded 3,200 kilometers globally, with products exported to 15 countries and regions, including economically advanced areas like Hong Kong and Australia.
The Blue Line Project signifies CASCO’s new benchmark in exporting advanced rail technologies, reflecting Chinese enterprises’ deep engagement in global rail transit innovation. Building on this success, CASCO will scale its presence in emerging markets across Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa, while advancing smart transportation construction under the Belt and Road Initiative, thus contributing to the development of rail transit gloablly.
