CASCO is among the 2021 list of new provincial engineering research center recently released by the Development and Reform Commission of Henan Province, officially approved to build a High Dependable Intelligent Urban Rail Engineering Research Center in this province.
In December, 2020, CASCO inaugurated the High Dependable Intelligent Urban Rail Engineering Research Center. One year later, the engineering research center was officially upgraded to a provincial one, which will be jointly constructed by CASCO (Zhengzhou) Metro Group Co. Ltd (Zhengzhou), Henan University, and CASCO Signal Co., Ltd.

Located in the west area of CASCO office building in Zhengzhou High-tech Zone, the Engineering Research Center covers a total area of 1,500 square meters. It boasts the advantages of large scale and complete integration in the field of urban rail transit signal train control, covering four functions of technology development, platform testing, talent construction and achievement transformation.
Integrating production, study, research, and application, the Engineering Research Center draws upon advantages of resources of all parties to carry out collaborative innovation. Taking CASCO's fully-autonomous TRANAVI system as the major solution, the center focuses on relevant system research, testing and verification, demonstration of smart metro and domestic encryption technology, based on smart rail. The research entails the full-automatic operation of urban rail signaling system 2.0, the linkage of four intelligent systems covering intelligent dispatching, intelligent station, intelligent yard, and intelligent operation and maintenance in smart urban rail, and the testing of domestic encryption signaling system as well as the evaluation of domestic encryption multi-disciplinary system.
