The Opening of Two Lines Starts the Year-end Delivery

Recently, the CTC regional centralized control of Yitulihe-Jiagedaqi Railway and the second section of Ningbo Rail Transit Line 2 Phase II have started revenue service in succession, playing a prelude for delivery at the end of the year.


On November 30, the CTC regional centralized control of Yitulihe-Jiagedaqi Railway was commissioned. Yitulihe-Jiagedaqi Railway is located in the junction of the Greater Khingan Mountains and Hulunbuir, the northern part of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. As a railway in alpine region of North China, it starts from Jiagedaqi Station of Heilongjiang in the west and ends at Yitulihe Station of Hulunbuir in the east. The stations along this railway are relatively remote, causing much inconvenience for the commuting of the electric service personnel and station staff. Considering various factors such as traffic density and personnel deployment, CTC regional centralized control was selected as the dispatching and command system of this railway.

As an extension function of the existing CTC system, regional centralized control can delegate the CTC control function from the dispatching station to the railway station, and perform various operations such as plan management, signing and forwarding of dispatching commands, and route control of the centralized control station on the regional centralized control console.

This project improved the dispatching and command efficiency of stations, realized the goal of downsizing for efficiency, provided a more convenient way for transport operation of China Railway Harbin Group Co., Ltd., and accumulated valuable experience for the promotion of the subsequent centralized control projects.


On December 1, the second section of Ningbo Rail Transit Line 2 Phase II was officially put into trial operation.


The Phase II of Line 2, with a total length of 8.5km and 5 stations, starts from Qingshuipu Station, the terminal station of Phase I, passes Linjiang area and Old Zhenhai District in the southeast, Yongjiang River, Beilun Xiaogang area, and ends at Honglian Station. The Phase II project is divided into the first section and the second section while the first section has been put into trial operation on May 30, 2020.


Opening of the line


In this project, CASCO provided CBTC signaling system solution, participated in many construction works of the existing line, such as capacity expansion and transformation of the existing depots, installation of new network information security equipment for existing stations, new trains for secondment, conducted network migration twice, and ensured the normal operation of existing lines while promoting the smooth debugging of new equipment.


With the high-quality opening of the second section, the whole Ningbo Rail Transit Line 2 has been completed, further supplementing and improving the rail transit network of Ningbo City, strengthening the connection among the main urban area, Zhenhai Zhaobaoshan area, Yongjiang Technical Innovation Corridor and Beilun Honglian, and injecting new momentum for the development of Ningbo as a port city.
