On December 27th, Shanghai Suburban Railway Airport Link Line, in which CASCO participated in the construction, entered revenue service. Meanwhile, CASCO has successfully won the bids for the procurement projects of signaling systems for Shanghai Suburban Railway Jiamin Line, Shifanqu Line, and Nanhui Branch Line, establishing CASCO's leading position in the suburban railway.
The three lines are all important components of Shanghai's suburban line network. They not only connect the external channels of airport and national railway, as well as the subway network, but also serve triple functions: air-rail transportation, external intercity railway transportation, and accommodating regional (suburban) passenger flow. They are important parts of the rapid rail transit in the metropolitan area. Among them, the Jiamin Line and Shifanqu Line pass through Hongqiao Terminal 2, while the Nanhui Branch Line connects with the Airport Line Line through Pudong Airport Terminal 3 and Shanghai East Railway Station, jointly forming the backbone network of Shanghai's suburban transportation.
CASCO will provide signaling system solutions that meet the needs of public transport and networked operation for these three suburban lines. In the future, these three lines will be connected to the Shanghai Rail Transit Suburban Dispatching Center uniformly, enabling cross-line networked operation among various suburban lines. This will fully leverage the advantages of resource sharing, intensification, and efficiency under the integrated suburban transportation network, meeting the transportation needs of the "integration of four networks" development in rail transit.
