At 10:07 this morning, the D1611 train successfully arrived at Jinan West Railway Station from Shijiazhuang, marking the official operation of Shijiazhuang-Jinan Passenger Dedicated Line (PDL) and the formation of its “1.5H economic circle”. As a significant part of the “Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal” high-speed railway network in China, it’s another important line of CASCO in East China this year.
With a full journey of 323km and designed speed of 250km/h, Shijiazhuang-Jinan PDL will greatly facilitate the passenger transport between Hebei and Shandong, improve travel convenience and enhance economic and cultural exchanges between the two places by reducing the travel time from 4 hours to 1.5 hours. After the operation of Jinan-Qingdao High-Speed Railway in 2018, the travel time from Jinan to Qingdao will be reduced from 2.5 hours to 1 hour, enabling Hebei residents to see springs in Jinan in the morning by Shijiazhuang-Jinan PDL and see the sea in Qingdao in the afternoon by Jinan-Qingdao High-Speed Railway.
CASCO provided FZK-CTC for 9 stations of Jinan section in Shijiazhuang-Jinan PDL, 5 of which were put into service this time. The system played a significant part in facilitating successful project operation and ensuring travel safety, and further set an example for implementing effective traffic organization management model in China railway.
